I am the Assistant Principal at the American Creativity Academy in Kuwait. I have over 20 years of experience internationally, including working with the International Baccalaureate Programm since 1999. My journeys have taken me from New York City to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. Throughout this time I have worked continually to provide leadership through the evolving landscapes and horizons of 21st-century teaching and learning as an IBEN educator, presenter, author, and researcher with Harvard's Project Zero.
My love of learning about the world led me to the field of education. What I find most rewarding about educational leadership is collaborating with teachers and students to help students be more successful. A wide range of leadership and educational roles have provided me with a strong understanding of the student learning process, staff professional development, and team formation. I have taught subjects from Grade 6 Humanities to Middle School English and IB Diploma TOK and Economics. I also have provided leadership through school governance as a school board member at a newly founded pre and primary school. Since 2008 I have been an IBEN Educator and Workshop Leader, and have led Humanities workshops from Budapest to Bangkok.
My educational qualifications include a Principal Certificate from the advanced post-graduate program at the College of New Jersey, a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Hofstra University, and a Bachelors degree in History.

Educational Leadership
Communication was key to my role at Global Jaya as MYP Coordinator. An important form of communication I lead is the "Happening This Week" blog update that is shared with the teaching staff. The purpose of this is not just to provide teachers with information they need, but to provide them with the information they can use to bring the school Vision and Mission to life.
The Global Jaya MYP-DP Teacher Guide is another key document I have been involved in creating. It includes best practice integrated with school policies to promote student achievement. Click here to see the MYP-DP Teacher Guide
The Global Jaya MYP Student & Parent Guide helps promote parent and student engagement by keeping families involved in the educational process.
